Danish War Museum

For many years, the War Museum consisted of a rather dusty collection of weapons whose unique collection of firearms particularly attracted historians of weaponry from around the world. The museum still offers that, but it has recently been focusing on interpretation, so it is now an inviting and engaging museum for anyone interested in history and conflicts; you can inform yourself about Denmark’s wars from 1500 to the present day.

The exhibition A Distant War allows you to follow in the footsteps of Danish soldiers deployed to Afghanistan. In Denmark at War, you can discover the stories of 21 Danish wars from the last 500 years.
